# Administration

# Administration

Union administrators configure the group: details and variables, delegates, billing, legal terms - and their own account. Most of this area is reserved for the administrator role.

**In short:** variables define your vocabulary (case types, statuses); the summary tab shows group health; everything sensitive is audited.

## Summary and details

The admin summary shows counts that matter: members, delegates, active cases, pending jobs. Details hold the group's identity (name, short code, locale, contact). Changes here are audited with before/after values.

## Variables

Variables are per-organization picklists: **case types** (seven defaults covering member issues, grievances, labour relations…), member statuses, custom fields. Rename or extend them to match your union's vocabulary - existing records keep working because they reference entries, not labels.

## Delegates, policies and logs

Manage delegates and their roles (see [Delegates](/docs/guides-delegates)), review policies, and inspect the audit logs when you need to answer « who changed what, when ».

## Monitoring jobs and AI usage

Background work (file processing, imports, extractions) runs as jobs you can watch: queued, running, failed with error codes, dead-lettered. AI usage (assistant questions, extractions) is metered per feature and model so costs stay visible.

## Account and legal

Your **account** page holds your profile, password and sign-in methods. **Legal** pages record the terms you accepted and their history - acceptance is a wall: the workspace stays unreachable until the current terms are accepted.
